This event takes place inside a 19th-century coastal fortification, after dark. Parts of the route go underground.

What the site is like:

Tunnels and casemates are dark, cool, and damp, with low ceilings in places
Footing is uneven — original stone, gravel, and steps without handrails in some spots
Some passages are narrow, and groups move through single file
Most of the event is outdoors and could be cancelled due to weather, but if it isn't dress warmly. 

This is a spooky-fun event, not a haunted house. No jump scares, no actors in pursuit, no gore. That said, the tunnels are genuinely dark, and some children find that unsettling regardless of the theme.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout. Strollers cannot be brought into the tunnels. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required.
